Dan King | Associate Director, Climate Talent Initiative
Dan leads the Climate Talent Initiative within Growald Climate Fund’s organizational development team. The Climate Talent Initiative aims to bring new professionals and community leaders into the climate non-profit sector through grants and climate fellowships.
Prior to joining Growald, Dan was the deputy regional director at the Tara Climate Foundation, helping to drive strategy and grantmaking in Asia, including on leadership and organizational development. He was previously a regional director at EarthRights International, supporting grassroots community campaigns in Southeast Asia and the EarthRights School for community organizing and leadership. Dan started out as an environmental lawyer with corporate law firms and the Environmental Defenders Office in Australia.
Dan holds bachelor’s degrees in economics (social science) and laws, both from the University of Sydney and a master’s in public and international law from the University of Melbourne. Dan is a qualified yoga teacher and is learning with teachers in Chennai, India. He is based in New York.
