Barbara Mutabazi | Program Manager, Organizational Development

 

Barbara Birungi Mutabazi is Program Manager for Organizational Development at Growald Climate Fund, where she supports grantee partners in refining strategies, strengthening internal systems, and addressing organizational challenges to ensure long-term success.  

Prior to joining Growald Climate Fund, Barbara played a pivotal role in shaping Uganda’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, advocating for government support to the startup community, greater inclusion of women in tech, and promoting sustainable business practices. She founded and led Hive Colab, Uganda's first tech accelerator and business incubator, which became a hub for tech-driven entrepreneurs and startup ecosystem development. Barbara also founded Women in Technology Uganda (WITU) and served as the Country Manager for Spring Accelerator in Uganda, where she supported startups that were focused on improving the lives of adolescent girls through business development and asset-building. 

Barbara holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, a MA in Information Systems Management from the University of Salford, a BA in Business Computing from Makerere University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management
