Growing Our Team
January 29, 2019
Last year was an exciting year for the Growald Climate Fund team. In June we welcomed our first Program Assistant, Natasha Ibori, for a 6-month appointment. While with Growald Climate Fund, Natasha was an important asset to the team by providing administrative support and collaborating on research and grants management. At the end of 2018 Natasha left Growald to return home to Nigeria, where she is looking forward to continuing her work positively impacting social and environmental conditions.
In 2018 Growald Climate Fund team grew to support our deep commitment to venture philanthropy and continue to work towards transforming the electricity sector. Recently, we welcomed Namrita Kapur as our Senior Program and Network Officer, and Qian Mei as our new Program Assistant.
In her current role as Senior Portfolio & Network Officer at the Growald Climate Fund, Namrita, deploys her organizational development expertise in not only working directly with GFF grantees, but also in convening and coordinating grant-making across our philanthropic partners. A former Managing Director at Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), she built and led EDF’s Sustainable Finance strategy. Prior to EDF, Namrita was part of the founding team and second-in-command at Root Capital.
Qian joins Growald as a recent graduate from Boston University and provides administrative, logistical, and communications support. Her background in graphic design and visual communications enables her to produce materials that are easily digestible and have a clear narrative. Qian’s role is to not only ensure smooth communications with our partners, but also to streamline information access within our organization and network of partners.
We are excited to welcome our new team members and continue our work, striving for a stable, healthy world in which all beings thrive.
