Following a long career dedicated to global concerns, he described climate change as "one of the serious problems facing the Earth...if we don't deal with it soon, it'll be much worse." He followed this statement with his philanthropic commitment to the environment, education, and arts among others. Mr. Rockefeller was involved in co-founding the David Rockefeller Fund, Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Rockefeller Family Fund and Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, through which his vision and commitment to addressing climate change and its impacts continues. His absence will be felt profoundly. Mr. Rockefeller's values of service, humility and integrity will continue to inspire us in all that we do. In the words of David Rockefeller "[...] there are other things which I think can bring much greater satisfaction - and that's doing things for others."
