Siddharth Thakur | Associate Director, Organizational Development
Siddharth ensures that Growald Climate Fund grantees get the planning and organizational development support they need to ensure long-term success. This involves working closely with the grantees on their strategy development and supporting them with any other organizational challenges. Additionally, Siddharth is focused on conceptualizing and funding interventions to address systemic challenges that limit climate civil society’s access to organizational support and establishing a vibrant ecosystem where all climate organizations have access to high-quality and localized services.
Before joining Growald, Siddharth worked as special projects director with Confluence Philanthropy, where he led climate finance-focused initiatives and programmatic planning for various convenings and events. He is passionate about market-led solutions to development issues and has held diverse roles in the social impact space, ranging from philanthropic investing to social development consulting, microfinance, and non-profit programs. Prior to moving to the US, Siddharth consulted on program strategy, implementation, and organizational processes for multilateral funding agencies, microfinance institutions, social enterprises, and government agencies in India.
Siddharth holds master’s degrees in business administration and in finance from the University of Utah and in rural management from the Institute of Rural Management, Anand, India. He is currently based in Oakland, CA where he loves spending time outdoors soaking in the warm Bay Area sun.
